Hocheng Philippines Corporation (HPC) was founded in 1995 as the demand for HCG increased tremendously not only in Greater China but around the world. In 1997, a 10-hectare plant in First Cavite Industrial Estate (FCIE) was opened, adding to the two existing state-of-the-art production bases in China. The world-class European technology admired by millions is now fused with Filipino creativity and ingenuity.

After just a few years of operation, and with over 55% market share, HCG became the no. 1 total bathroom solutions provider in the Philippines.

History

Mr. Hocheng Chiu established Hocheng Pottery Manufacturing in Yin-Ko City, Taiwan with an initial capital of USD 12.50 and started the HCG legend.
HCG began to manufacture ush-type ceramic water closet that led to a new era of sanitary textures.
Built the first tunnel kiln in Taiwan.
Devoted 6% of the annual revenue to R&D for future success.
Hocheng Group launched the new HCG logo to mark its international presence.
Moen, Inc. first produced and distributed faucet to the international market establishing a joint venture with Hostan Co., Ltd. HCG introduced the first one piece water closet Alps series in Taiwan which successfully reached 100,000 units sales in the first year.
HCG sanitary wares were certified by Japanese Industrial Standards Committee (JISC) and American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
HCG received a certification from Canadian Standards Association (CSA).
HCG set up North America branch oce for sales & distribution.
HCG was the first sanitary wares company to have an Initial Product Offering on the Taiwan Stocks Exchange with more than 50% market share and USD 200M revenue.
HCG established HCG Cultural and Educational Foundation in 1992 that continuously invests in the promotion of Taiwan's traditional culture.
HCG launched its first showroom in Xiamen in 1993 to penetrate the Mainland China market.
To further strengthen its position in the international market, HCG raised USD 80 Million through the issuance of Global Deposit Receipts in Luxemburg.
HCG was awarded as the World�s Top 10 Bathroom Manufacturers by American Ceramics and as Top 100 SMS (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) by Forbes.
China manufacturing in Suzhou started its operation with an area of 150,000 m2.
Launched a production facility in the Philippines with an area of 100,000 m2. Gained the majority of the market share in Philippines. Invited top star Andy Lau as brand endorser. The song The Toilet overwhelmed Greater China and created a new market strategy in the industry.
Introduced Lazuli Concept to broaden product portfolio of international renowned brands, which completed HCG�s line-up of products up to the luxury level. In the same year, HCG became the leader in the Philippine sanitary wares market.
Awarded China Top Brand by General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China (AQSIQ).
HCG Suzhou plant was awarded an ISO-14001 certification. Established rst branch oce in Jakarta, Indonesia.
HCG was certified as an AAA credit company. Organized the overseas procurement through UPEX Trading Company.
